Strait Shine® Recipes

 We think citrus, cranberry and pineapple compliment the flavours of Shine® best but hey on the rocks they're great too!

Makes a great substitute for tequila or white rum.

Let your imagination run free but remember our spirits are over proof!


 Strait Shine® Margarita.


~ 2 Lime Wedges
~ Salt for rimming cocktail glass
~ 1 1/2 ounces Strait Shine®
~ 1 1/2 onces fresh lime juice
~ 1 ounce Cointreau or Triple Sec plus 1 ounce Simple Syrup

Fill a chilled salt rimmed cocktail glass with ice to taste

 Shake liquid ingredients vigorously with ice in cocktail shaker and then strain into              pre-prepared cocktail glass.
Squeeze remaining lime wedge into glass and drop in.

Variations ~ For a Granita Margarita mix in a blender all of the ingredients (reducing the lime juice to 1/2 ounce) with 1/2 ounce of fruit liquer, some fresh fruit ( peach, strawberry, melon or mango) and 1 cup of fresh ice. Pour into a chilled Margarita glass and garnish with fresh fruit and a lime wheel. Summer in a glass!



This recipe really does bring out the flavour of the Shine®.


~ 4 or 5 lime wedges
~ 2 teaspoon sugar (Turbinado if possible)
~ 2 ounces Strait Shine

Muddle the sugar and lime wedges together in an old fashioned glass until the sugar is dissolved and the lime juice is released.
Fill the glass with ice and pour in the Strait Shine®. Stir briefly.

Variations ~ Add a few pieces of fruit such as raspberries, blueberries
or strawberries to muddle with the lime wedges and then follow recipe
as above.



A great drink for a day at the beach!

~ 1 can frozen pink lemonade
~ 1 can coconut cream
~ 1 bottle Strait Shine
® (750ml)
~ 1 large can pineapple juice

Mix and freeze all ingredients in an ice cream container.
serve by the spoonful with 7 Up and garnish with maraschino cherries.



~ eight 12 ounce cans frozen pink lemonade
~ four 12 ounce cans frozen lemonad
~ four 12 ounce cans frozen orange juice concentrate
~ 2 cups sugar
~ 70 cups water
~ 4-5 bottles Strait Shine
® (750ml) 

Mix all of the ingredients and chill. When ready to serve add sliced lemons, oranges and cherries and a touch of 7 Up to each bowl.
This recipe can be doubled or reduced to smaller volumes by dividing the portions equally.



1/2 ounce PEI Maple Syrup
3/4 – 1 ounce Strait Shine
Hot Water
Lemon Wedge

Put Strait Shine® and maple syrup into a mug.
Add boiling hot water
Squeeze in lemon wedge and drop into mug
Stir to Mix.
